I don't really get to talk about my music tastes all that much, so im talking ab it here bc I love music! (who doesn't)
I am one of those people who like all genres, however I listen to a lot of older Rock and Folk (and folk rock) — My parents have influenced me in that regard.
My top two songs are
"In Spite of Ourselves" By John Prine and Iris DeMent; it's a silly little love song that makes me feel good. The other is
"Barefoot Children" By Jimmy Buffett, i think it's very human. I am a big fan of Jimmy's music, particularly his older music.
Some of my favourite artists are
Bob Dylan, Bob Seger, Jim Croce, John Prine, Paul Kelly and
Missy Higgins. Writing all that makes me realise i dont listen to a lot of female musicians, i should change that.
Missy Higgins is a newer addition to that list but she has quickly become a favourite. I've seen her live twice now, once with Paul Kelly. I relate quite a bit to her songs, my favourite would be
'Craters'. Another song I really like is
'Night Moves' by Bob Seger. This song is rather sentimental to me, and my dad.
Heres my playlist!
